In the village of Rore, in Canton 10 in western Bosnia, Stano Kukobat says her young son, Milos, “gives hope to the whole village.” During the Bosnian war, all the homes in the area were destroyed. OGHS funds are helping to address some of the most urgent reconstruction needs of returning families, helping to provide basic construction materials and part of the skilled labor. Homeowners themselves provide some of the labor and guide the process of rebuilding their own homes. As families return, the rebuilding of homes, lives, and communities can take root.
